Description: I glued the base with the washi paper first to the metal frame I made at the production studio. In order to create volume and to make it very firm, I put 3 layers of the washi paper and folded the paper to make star shape. Then I glued it to the frame. As a final touch, I applied a polymer sealant followed by non-toxic acid-free varnish at least five times to make it firm, shiny and water resistant. Each varnish application required one full day to dry completely.
